About Supaku

The Spark That Won't Stay Still

Supaku is Mark Kropf's lab for technology that exists because it should, not because a market demanded it. Every product starts as a spark of conviction and ships as a real thing people can use.

Origin

Why “Supaku”?

The Japanese word for spark — スパーク (supāku) — became the brand. Not because of a branding exercise, but because a spark is exactly what it has always been: a burst of energy that jumps a gap, illuminates something for an instant, and sets things in motion that cannot be undone.

From a childhood nickname to djspark.com, from Spark Hosting to Inversiones Chispa, the pattern repeated across three decades. Supaku is simply the name given to what was always happening: the uncontainable impulse to build, experiment, and ship things that didn't exist before.

Principles

How We Build

These aren't aspirations. They're constraints that shape every product decision.

Build What You Want to Exist
Every product starts from conviction, not market analysis. If it should exist and doesn't, we build it.
Privacy Is Architecture
Built so they can't misuse your data, not so they promise not to. Structural commitment, not marketing claim.
Ship, Then Iterate
A shipped experiment teaches more than a polished prototype. Launch lean, evolve based on real usage.
One Person, Many Sparks
Explicitly a personal brand. When you use a Supaku product, you know who built it and why.
